She has worked in a variety of mediums but now is focused on metalsmithing, working with brass, bronze, copper, nickel and sterling."There is something about metal that really makes me want to play", says Marcia. She also incorporates semi-precious stones, pearls and beads into the jewelry. Her work is whimsical and organic, yet sophisticated. Inspired by memories and the past Marcia's one-of-a-kind pieces have a nostalgic feel. New creations will be on display for the exhibit "Playing With Metal". Opening reception First Friday Art Walk, Dec. 5, 5-9 pm. The show will be featured for the month of December.
